Rabbi Ariann Weitzman (she/היא) serves as Rabbi Educator of Bnai Keshet in Montclair, NJ. She was ordained in 2011 by the Academy for Jewish Religion. Rabbi Ariann came to the rabbinate after a short career as an educator in physical science and mathematics, which she continues to love. As an educator, Rabbi Weitzman is dedicated to re-thinking Jewish education to build authentic, identity-building experiences for both adults and children, with a focus on intergenerational learning and Tikkun Olam (repairing the world). Rabbi Weitzman has a deep personal interest in fighting antisemitism, racism, misogyny, homophobia, and transphobia and understanding the profound connections between multiple forms of systemic oppression in order to dismantle them.
