Chris was born in Romania, adopted, and came to New Jersey when he was 10 months old by a seminarian father and pastoral care mother (Catholic). Being raised Catholic in early childhood, he started attending evangelical youth groups in high school and began conversion therapy groups and homosexual anonymous support groups. Coming to a realization (over 15 years later) that homosexuality could not be "cured", he has now brought awareness to the church abuse that occurs in evangelical circles towards those in the LGBTQIA+ community after being diagnosed with PTSD post religious trauma.
