Camille Lewis (she/her/hers)

Assistant Professor - Furman University

I graduated from BJU in 1990 with a BA in English and in 1992 with a MA in Public Speaking. I taught there from 1992-2007 in the Speech Department with a leave of absence during which I earned my Ph.D. from Indiana University Bloomington. My husband and I were forced to resign after BJU gave us an ultimatum: "if you cannot hold your position and keep from presenting it to students, faculty, and others at a distance from the university, we must come to a parting of ways." That "position" was that God's grace is greater than our sins. I now am an Assistant Professor in Communication Studies at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.
